Dance Audition Video

Hi all! Thanks for all of your efforts at the 1st dance audition workshop this week. We have one more dance audition workshop this Monday, 12/1 from 3-4 PM in the dance studio (rm 107). The choreography will NOT be taught at dance auditions so you must learn the choreo in advance to be prepared.

You will find a reference video for the dance audition choreo linked below. Please use it to rehearse on your own as you continue to prepare. I do NOT recommend learning the dance from the video - there's a lot of detail and info that you will miss without direct instruction - but this is a good reference point. **Make sure you are logged into your HVRSD account to access the video.

The Crucible Cast List

Congratulations to all who were cast!  This was an incredibly difficult decision and we are so proud of how you handled yourselves during the audition and callback process.  

You must accept or decline your role via email to Ms. Rochon, Mr. Kelly and Ms. Reed (please copy all 3 of us on your email!) by Saturday at noon.  If there are any changes in casting after that point, you will be notified by Ms. Rochon via email on Sunday, September 21st.

The first read-thru will be held on Monday, September 22nd in the Black Box.  We should finish around 5:00.  Please bring a 3 ring binder for your script, a pencil, and a highlighter.

 If you would like to meet with the casting panel for feedback on our casting decisions, please stay tuned for information regarding feedback sessions with Ms. Rochon, Mr. Kelly, and Ms. Reed during lunch.

We are so proud of your work and are happy to share any casting insights with you.

Thank you to everyone who auditioned.  As usual, you have made our jobs very difficult.  Please check the list below carefully for your name.  If you do not see your name below, you are still in the running for the show, so please be sure to check back here on Friday at 4:00 pm for the cast list.

To all of those who have been called back:  Callbacks will be held in the Black Box Theatre on Thursday, September 18th,  starting at 3:00 pm until we have concluded all the readings.  Please go to the dance studio to check in for your callback.  You must expect to stay the entire time, in case we need to see any additional material.

Please check the callback list and materials carefully-some characters have more than one side to read.

Here is a link to the callback materials below, in case you'd like some additional time to look over the materials, prior to the callback list being posted.  Please note that several of the characters have multiple sides to read.  If a character is listed as reading with READER, that means that that role will be read with an audition reader in the room.  

Characters with multiple sides:

Abigail:  Side with Mercy/Mary/Betty and Side with Proctor

Proctor:  Side with Abigail, Side with Elizabeth

Mary: Side with Mercy/Betty/Abigail, Side with Reader

Please note that if you are called back for Mercy, you will also be considered for Betty and Susannah.

Our Fall Play this year is THE CRUCIBLE

Auditions will be held Monday September 15th and Tuesday September 16th by sign up.

Callbacks will be held on Thursday, September 18th by invitation only.

For your audition, please prepare a brief (approximately 1 minute) dramatic monologue in the style of the show, or choose from one of the selections from the show at the link below.  Please note that YOU MUST BE LOGGED INTO YOUR HVRSD ACCOUNT IN ORDER TO ACCESS THE AUDITION MATERIALS.
