If you are planning on attending State Thespian Festival this year, or are a member of Thespian Troupe 7964, you need to sign up for our remind 101 list.  You can do so by clicking the link below.  Periodically, I will send out updates and reminders to check the blog when new information becomes available, so be sure to sign up now!

Online Sign Up for Thespian Competition Pieces

This year, we are expecting a larger turn out for Thespian competition pieces.  In order to keep track of who is doing what (and to know if we will need to hold auditions for any categories prior to sending in our forms), you will need to click on this link to register your pieces with US (not with Thespians-Ms. Rochon and your troupe officers will take care of that).

Please sign up on the link below no later than Tuesday January 5th, 2016 so that we will know if any auditions will be necessary.  We will let you know any further info as it becomes available.

School-wide Shakespeare Competition

In order to prepare for the English Speaking Union's State Shakespeare Competition on February 28, 2016, we will be holding a school-wide competition in January 2016, date and time TBD.

You must prepare the following things, in order to be eligible to compete:

A Shakespearean Sonnet

A Shakespearean Monologue, which must be no more than 20 lines in length.

Both pieces must be fully memorized by our school competition in January.  If you need help finding pieces, please see me (Ms. Rochon) for assistance.  Good luck!

Here is a link for the info on the Shakespeare competition:

You can find all of the info you need there under student forms.  I will have hard copies for you tomorrow as well.  Basically, you need to have a monologue and a sonnet.  The monologue may be no more than 20 lines long, and the sonnet must be the full length.  Here is a list of suggested monologues:

and here is a document with all of the monologues in their entirety:

Video from today-End of Act I

Hi Guys!

Great job today :)  Here is a short video that I shot of the end of Act 1 today (just a quick preview).  Also, I have attached the photos that I took today.  They are not great, and my flash didn't work well with the lighting, but it gives you a glimpse of what you look like from the audience.

The show is looking awesome-keep it up!
