The Wedding Singer Callback List

Thank you to everyone who auditioned.  As usual, you have made our jobs very difficult.  Please check the list below carefully for your name.  If you do not see your name below, you are still in the running for the show-dance auditions are on Thursday, and you are still in consideration for casting, so please be sure to check back here on Friday evening for the cast list-callbacks for this show are for specific roles only.

To all of those who have been called back:  Callbacks will be held in the Black Box Theatre on Friday, December 9th,  starting at 3:00 pm until we have concluded.  Please go to the dance studio to check in for your callback.  You must expect to stay the entire time, in case we need to see any additional material.

 

Please check the callback list and materials carefully-some characters have more than one side or song to read/sing. As always, you MUST BE LOGGED INTO YOUR HVRSD ACCOUNT TO ACCESS THIS FOLDER.

Wedding Singer Audition Tracks, Demos and updated Sheet Music

 Hi Friends,

Just a few things-

Please make sure that you sign up for your audition slot by 3:00 on Friday so that we will have time to schedule you for an audition day (either Monday or Tuesday).  Please email Ms. Rochon if you miss the deadline but would still like to audition.

You can access the audition tracks for the songs in the packet (plus versions with demo vocals) by using the link below.  Additionally, there are some errors with the "It's your Wedding Day" sheet music in the packet.  Mr. White has added a correct version in the same folder as the demo vocals, so please check it out.

The Wedding Singer Audition Sign Ups

 Hi Friends!

Auditions for The Wedding Singer are just around the corner.  Just a reminder of the dates and times:

Monday December 5-3:00-end reading and singing audition

Tuesday December 6-3:00-end reading and signing audition

*You will only attend ONE of these days for your initial audition.

Thursday December 8-3:00-end Dance audition-all must attend

Friday December 9-3:00-end Callbacks by invitation only.

Robbie Hart

The lead singer of a band. Handsome and charismatic. A truly 'nice' guy that has the classic lead singer aura and personality. Also a bit of a dreamer. In love with love until Linda leaves him at the altar and breaks his heart.

Age: 25 to 35

Sammy

The bass player in the wedding band and one of Robbie's best friends. A total guy's guy, but beneath his pretending to love being a bachelor he is actually in love with Holly.

George

The wedding band's keyboardist and one of Robbie's best friends. He is sensitive and somewhat flamboyant. The foil to Sammy's super guy attitude.

Julia Sullivan

Waitress. The pretty "girl next door" in looks and personality. Engaged to Glen but falls in love with Robbie and is conflicted as to who to choose. Empathetic, caring, and brave.

Holly

Julia's cousin. Flirtatious and always up for a good time, but wants to be loved and is looking for romantic fulfillment in all the wrong places. She is in love with Sammy.

Julia's fiancé. A Wall Street broker. He is rich, shallow, and materialistic. Constantly tries to buy Julia's love with money. He is a bit of a womanizer.

Rosie

Robbie's grandmother who raised him. Motherly but adventurous and always trying to remain "hip" despite her age.

Linda

Robbie's fiancé who leaves him at the altar. Keeps Robbie around as a back-up plan. Is more in love with the idea of Robbie being a rock star than she actually is with Robbie.

The Wedding Singer Audition Packet

Please see the attached audition packet for The Wedding Singer.  Also, please note that you will need to be logged into your HVRSD account in order to view the material-no outside requests will be answered.

There will also be a brief informational meeting in the Black Box on Monday November 28 during lunch for anyone interested in auditioning for the show.  We will go over the material and answer any questions that you may have at the time.  Break all the legs!

 Congratulations to all who were cast!  This was an incredibly difficult decision and we are so proud of how you handled yourselves during the audition and callback process.  

You must accept or decline your role via email to Ms. Rochon by Saturday evening at 6:00 pm.  If there are any changes in casting after that point, you will be notified by Ms. Rochon via email on Sunday, September 25th.

 

The first read-thru will be held on Tuesday, September 27th in the Black Box.  We should finish around 5:30.  Please bring a pencil and a highlighter.

 

  If you would like to meet with the casting panel for feedback on our casting decisions, please stay tuned for meeting sign ups with Ms. Rochon, Mr. Kelly and Ms. Cook during lunch later this week.  We are so proud of your work and are happy to share any casting insights with you.
